Drive Your Panic Away and Face Your Fear

Sometimes, the easiest way to conquer something is to face it.  There are fields of therapy that actually encourage people to simply face their fears in order to overcome them.  It is definitely an intimidating thing, as everyone is fearful of something. Sometimes being fearful means you will continue living your life by simply avoiding situations you are afraid of.  Instead, you can get rid of your panic and face the issue head on.  Many skydivers say that even though they enjoy skydiving and participate in the panic away sport often, they are actually very afraid of heights and flying. But, each time they make the conscious decision to go back up and complete another jump, they are slowly whittling away at their initial fear.  Some even say they become so accustomed to completing jumps that the fear is no longer a consideration.  This does not mean you should ever place yourself in imminent danger to conquer a fear. But, at least, consider challenging yourself to face it.
